About Superior Meat Market

Superior Meat Market is a specialty food store in York, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1700 S Queen St, York, PA 17403, which places it among the local businesses of York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in York with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Pennsylvania may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Superior Meat Market at (717) 854-9650; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is superiormeatmarketpa.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 95 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded specialty food stores in York.

York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was trying to find a restaurant that served beef vegetable soup (husband request) on southeast side of York. I googled and Superior Meats popped up. I knew of them but I thought it was a wholesale place. I was wrong😒. As soon as I entered the shop, I was immediately greeted by a nice attentive gentleman named Joe. I told him what I was looking for. He showed me where the soup was. He gave a quick tour and explained all the stored had to offer- fresh chicken, beef, seafood. Prepared salads (I purchased egg and olive). Prepared dinner selections ( I got 2 pieces of pork baby back ribs). They have different bundles of meats you can purchase to stock up. Holy cow- who knew this little shop had such a Huge variety. Now my family knows and we will return. Everything purchased had flavor and just the right amount of BBQ on the ribs and the meat was tender. Highly recommend this shop. Excellent customer service and variety of food and other food items to purchase.

I recently visited Superior Meat Market in York, PA and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another transaction. The genuine effort they put into helping me make choices was refreshing to see a business that prioritizes building a relationship over simply making a sales. I’ve read reviews before going about how pricey they were. Most times you get what you pay for. The quality of the meat was exceptional & fresh. I live in NY, but definitely will visit them again when I visit my daughter as to the atmosphere alone was warm and welcoming, making it a pleasure to visit. I truly appreciate the service, which is hard to find these days. If you’re looking for a meat market that treats you like family and offers top notch products, look no further. They also make soups

I have been looking for a good butcher shop for a while. I usually go to the Market on Memory Lane. One day I am on Queen Street and notice this butcher shop sitting in this small shopping center. As I walked in the first thing I noticed is how organized and clean the place was. The atmosphere was quiet. The people behind the counter were super friendly and welcoming. There is a big selection of good quality meats and poultry. The bonus is that you can order fresh organ meats. I love this butcher shop, and I will definitely continue to give them my business.
